Associate Professor Philip Robinson MBChB PhD FRACP is a rheumatologist currently working at Brisbane Rheumatology. He also works as a senior staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and is an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland.

Philip trained in rheumatology in New Zealand. He graduated in Medicine from Otago University and qualified as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010. He is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association, the American College of Rheumatology and an associate member of the New Zealand Rheumatology Association.

Philip is actively involved with training being a supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, sitting on the Advanced Training Committee for Rheumatology for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and being the former Northside Pathway Coordinator for the Queensland Basic Physician Training Scheme.

Philip has a strong research background having completed a PhD and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Queensland and has published his work in numerous journals including Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, PNAS, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases and Arthritis and Rheumatism. Philip is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association and the Australian Pain Society. He is on the executive of the Australian Rheumatology Association Queensland Branch.

Philip has research and clinical interests in gout and ankylosing spondylitis / axial spondyloarthritis.
