Dr. Sajitha Nair

MBBS FRACP

Dr Sajitha Nair is a consultant rheumatologist at Brisbane Rheumatology and a Rheumatology Staff Specialist, with West Moreton Health at Ipswich Hospital and Ripley Satellite Hospital.

Dr Nair completed Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2009. She completed her basic physician training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and proceeded to do her advanced training in Rheumatology at Gold Coast University Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Greenslopes Private Hospital. She was a chief medical registrar at the Ipswich Hospital in 2023.

Dr Nair undertook her research on lupus nephritis and have presented the findings at national and international conferences. Dr Nair is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and is actively involved in junior doctor teaching at the Ipswich Hospital. She has also coordinated the Royal Australasian College of Physician, divisional clinical exam at The Ipswich Hospital. She is a member of Australian Rheumatology Association.

Dr Nair takes a holistic approach in treating all her patients and has a special interest in treating vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and spondyloarthropathies. Outside work, she is an art lover and loves travelling with her family. In addition to English, Dr Nair can also speak a few Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi and Malayalam.
